RAVEN volunteers are individuals who are committed to ending men’s violence
against women. They may include former program participants, women’s advocates,
social service professionals, students, retired persons, or anyone looking to
give back to the community.
RAVEN offers individuals the opportunity to gain hands on experience working
directly with men in a group or individual setting. It is a chance to not only
enhance one’s résumé, but is also a great way to gain knowledge and skill. And,
we offer flexible opportunities for hours – daytime, evenings & weekends!
Someone who is interested in becoming a volunteer with RAVEN will start by
participating in our training program. We offer extensive training on various
domestic violence topics as well as practical information on facilitating group
sessions, interviewing, and program development. Training sessions are held in
January, May, and August, and include attending the Missouri Coalition Against
Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCADSV) training.
Volunteer opportunities can be tailored to meet the needs of individual
volunteers. If you are someone who is committed to ending violence in your
community, please contact our office at 314-289-8000 today to
start making a difference!
