Who will Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® Benefit? The Walk a Mile in her Shoes® event in St. Louis in being organized jointly by the following local agencies: ALIVE (Alternatives to Living in Violent Environments) Provides support services & short-term emergency sanctuary to adults & children victimized by domestic violence. RAVEN(Rape and Violence Ends Now) A non-violence education program for men and youth whose mission is to foster peaceful relationships, families & communities by increasing self-awareness, challenging abuse & control, teaching alternative behaviors & promoting personal responsibility. St. Louis Family Violence Council Works to significantly reduce the incidence of family violence in St. Louis through discussion, education, advocacy, intervention, systemic change & coordination of community resources. YWCA St. Louis Regional Sexual Assault Center Provides support and advocacy to victims of sexual assault & abuse within the St. Louis region, helps coordinate services provided to victims & serves as a community resource on issues related to awareness and prevention of sexual assault & abuse.
How can you Get Involved? Become a Sponsor - Businesses and corporations are encouraged to sponsor the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® event at one of our sponsorship levels below: $100 - $249: Registration Table Sponsor – Receives name on sign at registration table. $250 - $499: Refreshment Center Sponsor – Receives name on sign at registration table and refreshment center. $500 - $999: Kid’s Corner Sponsor – Receives name on sign at registration table and at the Kid’s Corner. Receives name on event t-shirt. $1000: Walk Route Sponsor – Receives name on sign at registration table. Display company name throughout the walk route. Receives name on event t-shirt. $5000: Pavilion Sponsor – Receives name on sign at registration table. Display company banner at Event Pavilion. Receives name on event t-shirt.
Form a March Team - Put together a team of your co-workers, friends and neighbors to march together. March - Men, women and children are all invited to march. Men are encouraged to literally walk the mile in women’s high-heeled shoes!
